The world’s spiciest piece of poultry appears only at CHIMERA to offer a single lap dance each event, raffled off to the luckiest bidder. The Margaret Thatcher Lap Dance Experience is a taste of heaven… just don’t eat the feathers!
Each CHIMERA event holds a contest for the campiest audience outfits. Show in something you have absolutely no excuse to wear anywhere else!
Raffle tickets are normally $5 for 5 and $20 for 25, but donation-safe food is exchangeable for some raffle tickets and is promptly donated to the community fridge in Iowa City.
Check into CHIMERA events early to check out local artists and activist organizations tabling outside of the performance area!
Our VIP tickets are available to enhance your experience with spacious tableside seating, up-close-and-personal performer interactions, and CHIMERA freebies!

We can’t help our community without the help of our community! Explore some ways to support CHIMERA’s mission to change lives with art.

Apply to perform at upcoming shows when our application forms are posted! We post forms 2-3 months in advance of a show and offer free workshopping consultation to new performers. No prior experience required to be considered!
Do you enjoy crew roles like videography, light and sound production, or just running around in a cute outfit to collect tips? We need volunteer staff (and backups) to run shows smoothly!
Are you a local artist or business who wants to contribute your work or services to support trans Iowans? Our raffles contribute largely to our ability to support the Iowa Trans Mutual Aid Fund, and your contribution would make them more alluring to audience members!
Do you run an organization or service dedicated to improving the lives of community members? Reach out to us and we can talk about creating a space for you at the next show!
We need turnout to support our mission! Once our show posters are public, they are fair game to copy and redistribute digitally and in person exactly as they appear. If you’re excited for the show, why keep it a secret?
